Già il sole dal Gange
Più chiaro sfavilla,
E terge ogni stilla
Dell'alba che piange.

Col raggio dorato
Ingemma ogni stello,
E gli astri del cielo
Dipinge nel prato.

Is shining more brightly
Drying every teardrop
